NOTE CHANGE OF TIME: Parade starts half an hour earlier at 15:00

This year’s Three Bridges Rally will take place on Saturday 2 September. We’ll muster at Poolbeg Marina before parading up and down the Liffey at 15:00. The Tom Clarke bridge will open again at 17:00 to let the Dublin Bay 21s return to Dun Laoghaire. We’ll spend the night rafted on the Liffey Pontoon beside the 3Arena. In the morning we’ll leave with the St Bridget at 11:00.
 
Our host ashore will be the Clayton Hotel, where we have the use of the Vertigo room for the evening. There will be a three-course carvery dinner followed by a raffle and some informal entertainment. If you can’t sail, you can still join us for the evening festivities.
 
Our event coincides with National Services Day, so we’ll be showing our appreciation for the RNLI and Coast Guard.
 
Prices
  • Administration fee €20 per boat in advance
  • Dinner €28 per person in advance
  • Raffle tickets €10 for one, €20 for three
Wednesday 30 August Last day for confirming bookings.

Menu

Starter: Soup or Salad

Main:

  • Roast Lamb
  • Cajun Chicken
  • Hake in lemon butter sauce
  • Pea and Spinach Risotto in Pesto sauce

Dessert:

  • Baileys Cheesecake
  • Chocolate Brownie
  • Apple Pie

A starter will be served at the table. Main course and dessert will be served at the carvery buffet.

The hotel cannot accept late bookings or payment on the door, so you need to buy meal tickets in advance.

Entertainment

After dinner we’ll have a raffle, then a singalong and open-mic session.
 
We invite contributions from individuals, groups, boat crews or clubs. Songs, stories, poems, music, and dance are all welcome – brush up your party pieces and bring your instrument!
 
If you have something in mind let the organisers know, but spontaneous performances are fine too.
 
Microphones and a keyboard will be available and there might be backing musicians.

Raffle

Prizes have been generously donated by the Clayton Hotel, Marine Parts Direct and the CAI.

Prize list (subject to change)

  1. Hotel stay: two nights bed and breakfast for two at any Clayton Hotel
  2. Hotel dinner: dinner for two at the Clayton Hotel, Cardiff Lane (2 prizes)
  3. Six months membership of Club Vitae at the Clayton Hotel, Cardiff Lane
  4. Chandlery: voucher worth €100 at Marine Parts Direct (3 prizes)
  5. Hamper: red wine, white wine, cheese selection and crackers (4 prizes)
  6. Bottles of wine: one red, one white

All proceeds will be presented to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Raffle tickets will be sold before and during dinner; the draw will be held later in the evening. Prizes will be allocated to winners at random.
