Saturday 5 September 2026, Liffey Pontoon, Dublin
Once again we’ll converge on the river Liffey in a late season celebration of boating. The basic format is the same as usual – meet at Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club at lunchtime, parade towards the Custom House through open bridges and raft up for the night on the pontoon. We expect the Lord Mayor to lead the parade again and say a few words afterwards.
Arrangements for dinner together on Saturday are in hand. We’re also considering a social event on Friday night and other measures to encourage members from further afield to travel.
The event is for CAI members and their guests. Participants must book in advance and pay an administration fee for each boat that stays overnight.
