Back to the Future, with the World’s Oldest Cruiser Racer Class

The revival of the Dublin Bay Sailing Club 21 Footer Class has been a highlight of the 2021 season. This class has a remarkable heritage of racing in Dublin Bay from 1903 to 1984, but what is less well known is that they also cruised to the Clyde and Cork. Hal Sisk will take us through the restoration/rebuild of these splendid  survivors from the Golden Age of yacht design and how one can share the experience of sailing these beautiful craft in a practical and modern format. Hal Sisk has cruised his Molly Bán over 23,000 miles, is a serial restorer of classic yachts and has lectured on yachting history in 5 continents with vivid visual presentations.
