Saturday 6 September - Nine days
We’re forging ahead with detailed arrangements for the rally, reception and dinner. So far we 38 boats booked with 123 people aboard. That should make for a spectacular day, and we’re still open for more bookings.
Now it’s time to back up those plans with sales. Only half have paid the Administration fee (which covers general expenses including the reception with the Lord Mayor), and about a third of the participants have bought tickets for dinner.
The four-star Gibson Hotel is our venue for dinner for the first time this year. It’s close to the boats and we’re all in one big room with a great view. As well as good food and drink there will be music, a raffle and a book launch. We’ll be launching some new merchandise too.
