Three Bridges 2022 – Update

With a week and a half to go we have a potential fleet of at least 29 boats with 104 people aboard. These are only provisional figures though: you need to pay to secure a place, and only participants with meal tickets can attend the hotel function.

If you just need to buy meal tickets go to the shop: https://cruising.ie/shop

We’re refining our arrangements for the rally, and the briefing notes have been updated. The Tom Clarke Bridge (formerly East Link) will open for us at 15:00, and might not open again in the evening. The Samuel Beckett Bridge can’t open for the rally this year so our parade will be shorter than planned. Poolbeg marina and the club are ready for us, and you’ll be welcome on Friday and Sunday nights too.

Dinner arrangements are unchanged: a carvery buffet in the Vertigo room at the Clayton Hotel served from 19:30. After dinner there will be a raffle in aid of the RNLI with some generous prizes including hotel stays, chandlery vouchers and hampers.

Later we’ll have a singalong and open-mic session. We invite contributions from individuals, groups, boat crews or clubs. Songs, stories, poems, music, and dance are all welcome – brush up your party pieces and bring your instrument!

If you have something in mind let the organisers know, but spontaneous performances are fine. Microphones and a keyboard will be available and there might be backing musicians.

This promises to be a good day on the water and an enjoyable party in the evening. Come and join us!
