Cookery competition

Vincent and his friends have been busy working out the details of the competition.

On the event page you’ll find more information about the competition and an entry form. If you think you might be interested, submit an entry. It will help the organisers to plan the event, and you can always change your mind later.

Cook Your Hearts Out 2023

Irish Sailing conference

We’ll be represented at Irish Sailing’s annual Cruising Conference in the Royal Cork Yacht Club. It is currently scheduled for Saturday 18 February, but we’ve just learned that it will probably be postponed until March.

Annual General Meeting

Our host for this year’s AGM is Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club, and we look forward to enjoying their hospitality again. After the formal business is done we’ll sit down to a sociable dinner.

More details will follow, but note the date now: Saturday 4 March.

We shall need to fill a couple of vacancies in the committee this year. If you feel the time is right for you to make a contribution to the Association, call me or any committee member to learn more.

Cruise dates

The Greystones Rally is on 8 April. That’s Easter weekend, but we are assured that the marina and Bochelli’s restaurant can accommodate us.

We have definitely changed the date of the summer cruise, and the fleet will set off on Monday 12 June from Bangor.

Royal Irish Yacht Club has offered to host our Kish Rally again this year, and we’ve scheduled the event for Saturday 8 July. The Dun Laoghaire regatta is held over that weekend, so the clubs and the bay will be particularly busy. It promises to be an exciting day!
