Summer Cruise North 2023
Cancelled 2023-06-06
After some cancellations we no longer have enough boats and we have reluctantly decided to abandon the event.
Participants may follow the plan independently but need to make their own berthing arrangements.
In 2021, the committee started planning a cruise to the Inner Hebrides. It became clear quite early that Covid-19 restrictions in Scotland would make it particularly difficult to manage a successful event.
Now the situation has changed and we intend to go ahead in June 2023. We propose a similar itinerary, using marinas for the mains stops but offering alternatives for those who are happy to anchor overnight.
We are limiting the duration of the cruise to two weeks for the sake of members with limited leisure time. It’s likely that some will choose to extend the cruise in time and distance, perhaps taking in Skye and the Outer Hebrides or passing through the Crinan canal to visit the Clyde estuary.
As we refine our plans and confirm dates with service providers we’ll publish and refine briefing notes. We’ll keep the itinerary here up to date too.
