Sunday 26th April saw the first CAI Skill Share day of 2026 take place in Dun Laoghaire.
Nine boats participated: from 31 feet to 45 feet, spanning modern designs through to more traditional styles. We also welcomed several members without boats who were happily taken aboard by other crews, reflecting the strong sense of camaraderie throughout the fleet.
Seven mentors generously shared their expertise and advice; helping other crews put it into practice. From MOB manoeuvres to springing off and anchoring, members worked on a wide range of practical skills.
Including the gathering before and afterward at the RIYC, it was a great early-season opportunity to bring members together, refresh skills, and encourage mixing between boats and crews. We were even blessed with the weather!
If you’re interested in joining the next one, put Sunday 24th May in your diary. Details to follow!
