Yachts sailing downwind towards Lambay Island

Malahide Muster 2025 – Invitation

Saturday 3 May and Sunday 4 May

Incorporating Cook Your Hearts Out 2025

Join your friends in CAI, Malahide Yacht Club and Howth Yacht Club for a sociable weekend afloat and in Malahide. Support your team in the annual cooking competition, and contribute to RNLI funds.

Visiting sailors will gather at anchor off Lambay Island for a picnic lunch on Saturday with local cruisers and racers. We’ll head in to Malahide marina for the night, and make our way to Malahide Yacht Club for a barbecue and an evening of chat and music.

There’s plenty going on in Malahide on a bank holiday Sunday, perhaps starting with a coffee in the MYC Café and continuing with a tour of the Castle and grounds.

Back in the clubhouse at 16:30 Cook Your Hearts Out 2025 gets under way. Nine cooks (from CAI, MYC and HYC) each prepare a meal for four in a simulated galley. The results are judged not only by a professional chef, but also by the spectators.

There’s enough tide and light for visitors to head south after the competition, but everyone’s welcome to linger for another night.

The event is open to CAI members and guests, and also to members of Malahide Yacht Club and Howth Yacht Club, with or without a boat.

You need to book and pay in advance for the barbecue and for a marina berth. For full details of the muster including timetable, tides and booking, visit the event page:
