Kish Rally 2022
Saturday 9 April 2022
The fleet will assemble at the Kish lighthouse at 13:00, then sail to Dun Laoghaire marina. Crews will make their way to the Royal Irish Sailing Club for a meal indoors between 16:30 and 17:30. Some boats will head home afterwards, while others may stay overnight.
If the weather’s bad and we can’t sail, the catering arrangements still stand. Participants who booked should go to the club overland, or cancel the booking (just let the organisers know).
To help us with berthing and catering arrangements, please book in advance. Participants will settle their marina and food bills directly during the event, and we shall not collect the usual administration fee for this informal event. Although no legal COVID-19 restrictions are in force at present, we suggest you bring a mask.
On that Saturday other clubs are also holding events:
- Off Howth Head boats will gather around lunchtime for a ceremony organised by the Howth Cruising Group. If you join them you can still get to Dun Laoghaire for the meal.
- It’s lift-in day at the National Yacht Club, so the pontoons won’t be available for visitors. Shore facilities are open as usual.
This event is organised by Vincent Lundy, Simon Parker and Mike Kelly. You can reach us at events@cruising.ie.
