In the Cruising Association of Ireland we have long been concerned with the dangers posed by discarded or badly managed fishing gear, and of course we are not alone.
In the UK, the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and the Cruising Association (CA) have been collaborating to gather evidence to support campaigns with the relevant authorities.
